There is an outbreak of new coronavirus from Hubei province in China. The number of cases has risen to about 440 in China and the death toll has risen to nine. There is also at least one case of this virus confirmed in Japan, South Korea, Thailand and US. Concerned about a global outbreak, numerous countries have adopted screening measures for travelers from China. The Chinese health officials said that most patients infected with virus in Wuhan were exposed to live animals in a large seafood market, suggesting that the virus jumped from another species into humans and may not spread directly from person to person. But a Chinese government scientist announced that the virus can be transmitted between humans. Most of the international major airports have begun monitoring airline passengers arriving from the outbreak regions and being screened for virus pneumonia-like symptoms.
